EarthLink WebMail: Contacts & Spam

Our Score

EarthLink WebMail lets email customers read and send messages, use an address book and groups, adjust spamBlocker settings, and manage account security. EarthLink currently limits one message to 100 recipients across To, CC, BCC and included groups.

Contacts and groups

EarthLink’s WebMail help explains how to create a group from the Address Book by choosing New Group, naming it, selecting contacts, and saving. The provider recommends keeping a group at or below 100 entries; the same 100-recipient limit applies to a message’s To, CC, BCC and group members combined.

SpamBlocker

EarthLink says spamBlocker cannot be turned off. To review its settings, sign in to WebMail and use the edit/settings controls beside spamBlocker in the folder list. If a legitimate message is classified as Known Spam, EarthLink documents a “This is NOT spam” action for reporting that false positive.

Account security

For an EarthLink email account, the provider places password-change controls under Preferences → Account Security in WebMail. EarthLink also documents account-security options in its Account Portal. Use those official controls and do not share passwords or verification codes with a third party.

Attachments and mail apps

EarthLink’s email FAQ lists a 20 MB attachment limit. If you also use an email app, IMAP keeps mail synchronized with WebMail and other IMAP devices; POP may download messages from the server. See the current server settings before configuring an app.
